Sovereign Grace Catechism - Week 28

Q: Does Adam’s sin affect more than mankind?
A: Adam’s sin subjected the entire created order to futility, decay, and death, which leaves us longing for the redemption of all things under Christ.
"For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God."

1 Peter.jpg
In his pastoral letter, the Apostle Peter urges fellow believers to stand firm in the grace of God amidst the trials of life. He reminds disciples that as we suffer for the cause of Christ, we are following in the example of our Master.  Christians are on a pilgrimage to our heavenly home, becoming more like our Savior as He refines our faith through trial.  Ultimately, our hope does not rest in this world, but in the imperishable and glorious inheritance we’ll receive from the Lord, made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
